In the wintertime, my off season, I like to persue creative endeavors I was too busy to start at other times. I started by sewing a sock monkey from a pair of those red heeled sock monkey socks and he turned out pretty cute – he’ll be photo ready once he has his eyes sewn on… He’s seeing no evil right now! I’m super fired up about Amy Butler, a contemporary pattern and fabric designer who’s rocking my world! And she prints all of her patterns on recycled paper! YAY!
I’ve been cranking out some of her “Birdie Sling” bags… they’re big and fabulous!

Ladybugs
One of my most favorite garden visitors is immortalized in an early 80’s arcade game. Barcade has added it to their already amazing collection. It’s a maze format screen where the ladybug races around eating veggies for points and avoiding evil bugs and deadly skulls…
